Introduction

These terms govern your use of the TaskBuddys platform. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before using the platform.

Our Service

TaskBuddys connects clients in the diaspora with verified local agents in Nigeria who carry out tasks on the client's behalf. We act as a facilitator between clients and agents. We are not an employment agency and agents operate as independent service providers.

Account Responsibilities

By creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Keep your login details secure and confidential
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Take responsibility for all activity on your account

Placing Tasks

When you submit a task and make payment, you are engaging TaskBuddys to arrange for an agent to complete the task as described. Please note:

• Prices shown are for the TaskBuddys service fee and local transport costs.
• Any purchases required (groceries, medicine, gifts, materials) will be billed separately with receipts and proof of purchase provided.
• Priority service tasks attract a 50% surcharge on the service fee and are completed within 24 hours where possible.

Payment Terms

• Payment is required upfront before a task is assigned to an agent.
• All prices are in British Pounds (GBP).
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
• We also accept PayPal payments.

Refund Policy

• If a task cannot be completed for reasons within our control, we will offer a full refund or reassignment to another agent.
• If a task is partially completed, we may offer a partial refund at our discretion.
• Refund requests must be made within 14 days of task submission.
• Refunds for completed tasks are not available unless there is evidence of negligence or failure to follow instructions.

Evidence and Proof

Agents are required to upload photo evidence of task completion. Clients can review evidence in their dashboard. If evidence is unsatisfactory, clients can raise a dispute through our conflict resolution process.

Limitation of Liability

TaskBuddys acts as a facilitator. While we vet and train our agents, we cannot guarantee the outcome of every task. Our liability is limited to the service fee paid for the task in question. We are not liable for third party costs, losses, or damages beyond our service fee.

Cancellation

You may cancel a task before an agent is assigned for a full refund. Once an agent is assigned and has begun work, cancellation may result in a partial refund. Please contact us immediately if you need to cancel.

Acceptable Use

You must not use TaskBuddys for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purposes. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any task that we believe is inappropriate, without refund where misuse is evident.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
